Minecraft will soon require Minecraft players to sign in with a Microsoft account by 2021, including those with the Minecraft Java Edition. As Minecraft posted on its blog, the new policy will increase the security of the player's account with two-factor authentication. Since the initiative is mandatory, players won't be able to play Minecraft without logging in on their Microsoft account. Once they use a Microsoft account to log in to Minecraft, they'll never be able to log in to their Mojang account.
