NVIDIA has announced its Cryptocurrency Mining Processor (CMP) HX product line of GPUs for professional Ethereum mining. NVIDIA said that they released the NVIDIA CMP product line to address the specific needs of Etherium mining. CMPs also have a lower peak core voltage and frequency, which improves mining power efficiency. And since CMPs don't meet the specifications required of a GeForce GPU, it won't impact the availability of GeForce GPUs to gamers. NVIDIA CMPs come in four models: 30HX, 40HX, 50HX, and 90HX. NVIDIA CMPs will be available from authorized partners, including ASUS, Colorful, EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, and PC Partner. The new lineup features Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Laptop GPUs. The Tegra K1 powered NVidia Shield tablet is now official and will be priced competitively (starts at $299) and will have an optional wireless controller.
