Nvidia has finally unveiled the GTX 1050 and 1050Ti -  their newest entry-level graphics cards from the Pascal family and successors to the Maxwell-based Nvidia GTX950. Despite the higher efficiency both in terms of raw gaming power and power consumption, the GTX 1050 and the GTX 1050Ti are NOT VR Ready, as the constant 90FPS requirement of VR games might be too straining. The GTX 1050 features 640 Cuda cores with 2GB GDDR5 RAM, meanwhile the GTX 1050Ti features 768 Cuda cores that sports 4GB GDDR5 RAM. Nvidia, however, won't be making any founders or reference versions of the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050Ti but will let its partner manufacturers produce their own GTX1050/Ti cards by following the base specifications or modifying it to their standards. The GTX1050 and 1050Ti will be available this Oct, 25, and will have a suggested retail price of only $109 and $139, respectively. The NVidia Tegra K1 packs the same architecture as the company's fastest GPU, the GeForce GTX 780 Ti - which promises to bring PC gaming quality into our handheld devices.
