Yesterday, Qualcomm announced its newest mid-range chipset with 11nm architecture, the Snapdragon 675.  “Packed with advanced gaming abilities, remarkable camera performance and a multi-core AI Engine, Snapdragon 675 based smartphones will bring new experiences to consumers globally.” - Kedar Kondap, Vice President, Product Management, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. In Layman's terms, the Snapdragon 675 is said to bring more performance to gaming, photography, and Artificial Intelligence. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon C platform, a new processor designed for entry-level laptops priced starting at around USD 300. Qualcomm said laptops powered by Snapdragon C are expected to launch later this year from brands including Acer, HP, and Lenovo. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI.
