#qualcomm snapdragon wear 3100 smartwatch

Qualcomm has officially announced a new chipset designed for smartwatches - the Snapdragon Wear 3100. The Snapdragon Wear 3100 is a new platform based on a new ultra-low power hierarchical system architecture with ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processors, Adreno 304 GPU, integrated DSP, Snapdragon X5 LTE modem, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a new ultra-low power co-processor, the Qualcomm QCC1110, for a better smartwatch experience with longer battery life. The new chipset is supported by Google's Wear OS, as well as watch manufacturers that announced to launch products based on the Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform - Fossil Group, Louis Vuitton (Tambour Horizon), and Montblanc (Summit 2). The Snapdragon Wear 3100 platform comes in three variants targeting Bluetooth and Wi-Fi tethered smartwatches, GPS-based tethered smartwatches, and 4G LTE connected smartwatches. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon Wear Elite, a new processor designed for smartwatches and other wearable devices, bringing on-device AI features along with improved performance and battery life. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear Elite offers up to five times faster CPU performance and up to seven times better graphics performance compared with the previous Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 chip. Qualcomm said devices powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite may support fast charging, allowing a smartwatch to reach 50% battery in less than 10 minutes.
