Qualcomm has announced its new Snapdragon X65 5G Modem-RF System, considered as the world’s first 10 Gigabit 5G and the first 3GPP release 16 modem-RF system, as well as the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF system, that will soon arrive in mobile devices this year. The Qualcomm Snapdragon X65 modem is designed to support speeds of up to 10 Gigabits per second and support the latest 5G specifications that will enable new 5G use cases outside of the usual smartphone experiences. In addition to the X65, Qualcomm also introduced the Snapdragon X62 5G Modem-RF System. The Snapdragon X62 is a 5G modem-to-antenna solution supporting up to multi-Gigabit downloads and is optimized for mainstream adoption of mobile broadband applications. The Snapdragon X65 and Snapdragon X62 are currently sampling to customers. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon C platform, a new processor designed for entry-level laptops priced starting at around USD 300. Qualcomm said laptops powered by Snapdragon C are expected to launch later this year from brands including Acer, HP, and Lenovo. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors.
