Roblox may be blocked in the Philippines after the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) shortened its deadline for the company to respond to safety concerns from 30 days to 15. The CICC said Roblox did not cooperate with its request to address issues related to online safety. Telcos agreed to prepare to block access to Roblox across the country, setting up the system needed if the ban pushes through. Roblox is widely used in the Philippines, especially among young players. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said Roblox will not be banned in the Philippines after the platform promised to improve safety for children. Roblox is committed to implement tighter monitoring procedures, more effective reporting systems, and age-based content restrictions according to the DICT. Roblox will conduct an information campaign on April 12 2026 to educate parents about its safety tools, which include screen time limits, purchase controls, blocking harmful content, and age-based game selection. Earlier, the agency warned Roblox it could face a ban because of reports about child safety issues on the platform.
