#Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Specs

Following the announcement of Qualcomm's newest flagship chipset Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, OPPO revealed that they will be launching their first flagship smartphone powered by the said chipset in the first quarter of 2022. It is our pleasure to witness the launch of a new generation of Snapdragon 8 Mobile Platform. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. Meanwhile, the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 can deliver up to 77% better GPU performance and supports 90FPS gameplay which is a first for the first time in the Snapdragon 4 series. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI. Meanwhile, smartphones using Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 are expected from OPPO, realme and REDMI. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip powers the said tablet and is paired with 12GB of LPDDR5T RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
