Qualcomm is getting ready for the next-generation high-speed mobile connectivity with the announcement of its commercial 5G modem - the Snapdragon X50. Qualcomm says that its the first company to announce a commercial 5G modem chipset solution in the form of the Snapdragon X50. Additionally, the Snapdragon X50 also supports 800MHz bandwidth with peak download speeds of up to 5 gigabits per second, can be used for multi-mode 4G/5G mobile broadband and fixed wireless broadband devices, and can be paired with a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor with an integrated Gigabit LTE modem via dual-connectivity.
