SpaceX founder Elon Musk said in a tweet that his company's satellite internet constellation, Starlink, has been activated in Ukraine and more terminals are en route tagging Ukraine's Vice Prime Minister and Digital Transformation Minister, Mykhailo Fedorov. Starlink service is now active in Ukraine. — Elon Musk (@elonmusk) February 26, 2022 Starlink will provide satellite internet access coverage to most of the world. Internet connectivity has been affected in Ukraine as a result of the Russian invasion. Starlink has sent out emails to interested users in the Philippines allowing them to reserve and put down a deposit for future services. This has put Starlink as an official internet service provider in the Philippines, albeit it will be delivered in 2022. Earlier, Converge ICT has been reported to be in talks with Starlink for a partnership to offer satellite broadband. As it turns out, Starlink can directly offer their service in the Philippines without a local partnership and this email detailing a reservation is merely the first step.
