After introducing curved displays on a smartphone, LG is now aiming at panels the size of TV screens. In addition, LG was also able to make a transparent OLED panel which is claimed to have triple the transmittance of current see-through LCD displays giving off clearer and better picture quality. Display SVP and Head of R&D In-Byung Kang claimed that, “by 2017, we will successfully develop an Ultra HD flexible and transparent OLED panel of more than 60 inches.” Will we be seeing rolled up displays inside storage tubes of students in the future?
