The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will be extending the voter registration period and will resume operations starting October 11. COMELEC spokesperson James Jimenez shared that COMELEC en banc has unanimously approved the voter registration extension, and will resume on October 11 in order to focus on the Certificates of Candidacy (COC) for 2022. On the other hand, registration of overseas voters can immediately continue and will be extended from October 1 to 14.
