Google has introduced Disco, a lightweight, experimental browser from Google Labs designed to test new AI ideas for web discovery and research. The browser’s main feature, GenTabs, uses a person’s open tabs and chat history to understand what they are working on, then generates mini web apps to help complete tasks like trip planning, studying, or meal planning, without needing to code. https://youtu.be/I-rAE40ggbc Unlike some AI browsing tools that try to replace websites with chatbot answers, Disco keeps the open web central by including links back to the original sources used inside each generated GenTab. Every once in a while, I'd receive text messages or emails from bloggers and website owners asking for advice whenever their site is hacked. Being a blogger myself running dozens of sites and also a web hosting provider, hacking/cracking and other exploits are not new to me. Imagine your server or website is like a house.
