Along with the Windows 10 updates and the announcement of the new Project Spartan browser, Microsoft forays into the full-field augmented reality segment of the market with the launch of the HoloLens, powered by Microsoft's Windows Holographic software. Microsoft HoloLens is touted as the first fully untethered holographic computer, and is equipped with see-thru, high-definition lenses, spatial sound, and advanced sensors. To make up most of the holographic experience, the Redmond giant added a third processor it calls the HPU, or Holographic Processing Unit, enabling a more seamless visual experience. This holographic technology is developed by Microsoft along with NASA, USA's space agency. Netflix, Minecraft, and a holographic version of Skype are among the first programs to arrive at the newest Microsoft hardware. It is expected to arrive into stores "somewhere along the Windows 10 timeline." I've had the beta version of Windows 7 installed on my Intel Core 2 Quad, a Compaq Presario, and an Atom-based netbook for about a week now and so far, Microsoft's upcoming operating system gave a fairly good impression. I've been a Windows Vista user for about a year now and I am fairly satisfied with its performance. So, trying out Windows 7 for the first time didn't really made a huge impact.
