Acer unveils Predator Atlas 8 handheld gaming PC

Acer has expanded its gaming lineup with the launch of the Predator Atlas 8, a new Windows-based handheld gaming device designed for portable PC gaming.

The Predator Atlas 8 uses Intel’s new Arc G-Series platform and can be configured with up to an Intel Arc G3 Extreme processor paired with Arc B390 graphics. The handheld also supports ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling technology for gaming performance improvements.

The device features an 8-inch WUXGA IPS touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 × 1200, a 120Hz refresh rate, variable refresh rate support, and up to 500 nits brightness. Acer also equipped the display with Gorilla Glass Victus protection and DXC coating designed to reduce glare.

For memory and storage, the handheld supports up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB PCIe Gen4 SSD storage. Battery capacity can go up to 80Wh, while Intel Endurance Gaming technology is designed to help balance performance and power consumption during gaming sessions.

Cooling is handled through Acer’s AeroBlade system, which uses a dual-fan setup. According to Acer, it includes the first metal fan used in a gaming handheld.

Other features include Hall-effect triggers, full-size joysticks, dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, microSD expansion, DTS Ultra audio, Windows 11, Xbox Mode, and PredatorSense controls.

The Predator Atlas 8 will launch starting October 2026 in North America, EMEA, and Australia.

For now, Acer has only confirmed selected markets, with pricing and other regional availability details still pending.
