We received a bunch of Havit accessories last month. Today, we’ll be playing with one of them, the Havit M16 Bluetooth Speaker. Is it worth it? Let’s find out!
The Havit M16 Bluetooth speaker looks pretty stylish at first glance due to its silver-colored knitted fabric cover which almost looks like metal, until you touch it. It also has a minimalistic and straightforward design which is a plus for us. The device is not that heavy as we expected it to be. It also feels pretty solid and the fabric feels nice but make sure to keep it away from water as the fabric will absorb it, which can add to its weight.
The first thing that you will notice is that the Havit M16 has two burrowed sides which contain, get this, subwoofers.
The top contains the power, play, rewind, and forward buttons, as well as the volume keys. Pressing them required a bit of effort and force.
Below are the micro USB, 3.5mm audio ports, and a microSD card slot which is safely covered by a plastic lid.
Now, onto the main part which is the sound test. We played this music to test out the highs, mids, and lows of the speaker and turns out, it did pretty well. The highs and mids blend well while the lows are present which is a big plus considering that we always want to have that complete depth in sound quality. We lose a bit of clarity at max volumes and some screeches can be heard as well, every now and then. We also noticed that audio was somewhat hollow which made it less attractive to our ears.
The battery life of the M16 is average as it’s rated to last up to 10 hours of play time. Charging it takes a while as it takes up to 4 hours to max out the battery. Nevertheless, the speaker gave us a good time and quality music experience. It has a stylish design and can be a good traveling companion when camping or hiking. The sound quality is also decent and can go toe-to-toe with some of the more popular brands out in the market.
The Havit M16 Bluetooth Speaker is priced at Php1,990USD 34INR 2,875EUR 32CNY 247.(see price listing here) check out our unboxing video for the Havit gadget haul below.
