La publicación de Darren sobre http://www.problogger.net/archives/2005/10/10/why-reveal-your-blogging-income/ "¿Por qué revelar tus ingresos del blog?" está generando un buen intercambio de ideas. Mi opinión es de dos partes, pero creo que no todos los bloggers querrían revelar cuánto ganan con su blog a través de AdSense.

Hablábamos de ello durante nuestro último encuentro PTB y aquí tienes un resumen breve de mi opinión sobre ello:

Aquellos que revelan sus ingresos de blog son quienes lo han estado haciendo desde hace bastante tiempo (unos seis meses aproximadamente). Esto significa que sus esfuerzos han dado frutos y quieren compartir su éxito con el público.
Otros no quieren compartir cuánto ganan por miedo a que personas emprendedoras sigan su ejemplo y se lleven una parte de sus posibles ingresos. Estos son blogs especializados que pueden ser fácilmente recreados (recetas, teléfonos móviles, gadgets, noticias, letras, descargas, etc.).
Revelar los ingresos de AdSense puede exponer a tu sitio a críticas innecesarias, especialmente si utilizas tácticas cuestionables. Por eso algunos permanecen en silencio.
La mayoría de aquellos que revelan sus ingresos y predican sobre el poder de los blogs y el potencial empresarial que ofrecen tienen mayor credibilidad. Si hablas de ello y tienes el cheque de AdSense para respaldarlo, entonces eres una autoridad.
Otros, aunque ganan bastante, no están realmente orgullosos de su "proyecto" de blog porque puede que no contenga ideas/contenido originales y puede ser fácilmente duplicado. Así, cualquiera puede hacerlo y tener la misma probabilidad de éxito. (véase la publicación #2)
Las conversaciones sobre dinero nunca dejan de interesar a los lectores y generan debate. Podrías incluso convertir a lectores casuales en lectores habituales.

Bawal ba akong humirit sa thread na to? Hehehe. Personally, revealing a ballpark figure for my adsense earning is my way of saying that blogging can be both fun and profitable. Writing well can take you places, and give you some spare change. It can buy you some of the “luho” stuff you’ve been dreaming about, without compromising your salary.

But the best thing about blogging is not the thrill of money, but rather the feeling that your voice is one day considered an authority in your field of interest.

But to end it all, it’s always your personal call. :)

Unfortunate the lure of easy money is one many take for granted, ofcourse theres no such thing, but most dont learn that until theyve experienced it. And unfortunately a lot of people want easy money

I agree with what Andre said below: you don’t go around telling people you’re earning 10 cents a day by serving AdSense ads in your blogs. Receiving 100-dollar-plus monthly earnings from AdSense is no walk in the park. For instance, my blogs have had AdSense ads for 13 months now and I have yet to receive my first AdSense paycheck. Currently, I have earned 79 dollars but I don’t mind since I’m sure I’ll be getting that check surely in this millenium. :-)

imho, everyone should know (on their own) that there is no such thing as easy (legal) money in this world.

whether it’s done to gloat, inspire or teach, ppl’s reaction would always be different. some would give translate it as nagyayabang and give you flak whereas others would be inspired and try to have the same goals.

kanya kanya yan ng approach whether your the earner or the reader.

honestly i feel its a bad idea, i mean you dont go around in real life and say hey my job earns me 100k a year etc right?
Its more like bragging really, but hey who doesnt want to feel good and let everyone know they’re earning good. There are also a lot of people who see these numbers and instantly think easy cash when infact theres no such thing. It would be nice if when people post these numbers that they post how hard it was for them to make that number.
