Microsoft lanzará Office para Android y iOS

Una versión móvil de la MS Office de Microsoft llegará a dispositivos Android y iOS a principios de 2013.

La Office Mobile será una aplicación gratuita que permitirá a los usuarios de Android y iOS ver documentos de Word, Excel y PowerPoint. Al igual que SkyDrive y OneNote, se requerirá una cuenta de Microsoft al iniciar la aplicación por primera vez. Dado que la aplicación gratuita solo permite ver documentos, los usuarios pueden habilitar la funcionalidad de edición comprando una suscripción a Office 365 dentro de la aplicación. Sin embargo, la aplicación solo puede realizar ediciones básicas y no se acercará en absoluto a la funcionalidad de la versión de escritorio.

Office Mobile funcionará en tres plataformas móviles principales: Windows Phone, iOS y Android. Se espera que la versión de iOS llegue a finales de febrero o principios de marzo, mientras que la versión de Android llegará en mayo.

possible din po ba ito sa iphone 5? sana pwede kaso problem is paano makakapag edit parang maliit yung screen :(

I think Polaris is still good. Free and pre-installed in some Android Devices. But good to know that it Microsoft will release an application for this.

Who needs Office, I use Google Docs all the time, works for me. It does not matter what platform you’re using as long as you have an internet connection. It’s high time you go cloud based.

And if you want a powerful presentation, then use Prezi, awesome piece of software. It will wow your audience with its panning and zooming features.

WIndows Phone allows editing of Word and Excel files for free as it includes MS Office by default. :P

Microsoft anticipate the future. They saw an oppurtunity.. but they know Ubuntu come into play in the future… last month it was feature here in Nexus 7 ubuntu was successfully ported for 13.04 beta version. Of course it has an office application tools as free such as Libre Office rivals of MS office.. Let’s wait the future…
