Samsung launches new Galaxy foldables and smartwatches with AI upgrades, pre-order promos until August 13

Samsung is once again pushing what a foldable phone can do, and this year’s Galaxy lineup shows just how far the format has come in eight years. Bigger screens, smarter AI and hardware built for people who take productivity to the next level are the focus of the new Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9.

Customers can pre-order now until  August 13 to enjoy special offers. Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra

Leading the pack is the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra. It gets up to 3,000 nits of brightness, an anti-reflective screen, and the brand’s Flex Titanium build for extra durability.

Photography also gets a serious upgrade with a 50-megapixel ultrawide (previously, 12MP) and a 200-megapixel main camera, paired with tools like ProVisual Engine, Nightography, Cine LUT, and APV codec for creators who want cinema-level footage straight from their pocket.

The AI side is just as interesting with some new tools from Galaxy AI and Google Gemini. There’s Now Nudge that picks up on details in your chats and suggests helpful actions, like saving a location someone just mentioned or pulling up nearby restaurants.

Meanwhile, Ambient Nudge works the same yet quietly in the background while you’re chatting in other apps, dropping in suggestions without breaking your flow. And Gemini Notebooks lets you pull together documents, photos, voice notes, and handwritten scribbles into one organized space, basically a digital notebook that does the sorting for you.

Galaxy Z Fold8

Next, there’s the Galaxy Z Fold8 bringing a new form-factor to the lineup.

It feels roughly more like a passport size now with a 7.6-inch main display having a 4:3 aspect ratio optimized for both portrait and landscape use. It matches the 3,000-nit brightness with Vision Booster, so visibility outdoors stays solid.

Camera-wise, the Galaxy Fold8 comes with 50MP wide and ultra-wide sensors, plus a few AI perks worth noting. My FanCam automatically reframes your videos for social media, Photo Assist helps clean up your shots, and Document Scan turns printed pages into digital files in seconds.

Galaxy Z Flip8

If you prefer a more compact foldable, the Galaxy Z Flip8 keeps things compact at just 180 grams and 6.1mm thin, making it a lot thinner and lighter than its predecessor.

It’s built with Advanced Armor Aluminum and a tougher hinge, so it can handle daily wear and tear better.

Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9

Rounding out the lineup are two new smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is built for people who push their limits, with an 800mAh battery, a blazing 5,000-nit display, the Snapdragon Wear Elite platform, and a titanium case that can take a beating.

Trail runners get detailed elevation and terrain tracking, while Nutrition Alert keeps hydration in check. There’s even a professional diving mode built with Mares.

For everyday wellness, the Galaxy Watch9 keeps things lighter, literally, with an aluminum case, a 390mAh battery, a 3,000-nit display, and also the Qualcomm Wear Elite platform.

It tracks five biological markers through Vitals, plus Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, and Fitness Index for a fuller picture of your health. The new Raise to Talk feature means you can control music, check your schedule, or read messages just by raising your wrist and speaking.
