HONOR Magic V5 launching in the Philippines on September 5

In a Facebook post, HONOR Philippines confirmed the launch of the HONOR Magic V5 on September 5, 2025. The foldable is set to be an exclusive offer in partnership with Globe.

The Magic V5 has a thickness of 4.1mm with its Ivory White colorway, and 4.2mm with other variants when unfolded. Despite its slim frame, it manages to pack a 5,820mAh battery.

This is significantly larger than the Galaxy Z Fold7, which has a 4,400mAh battery. For reference, both devices have the same thickness at 4.2mm when unfolded. Powering this is a Snapdragon 8 Elite with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

HONOR’s upcoming offering also has a 7.95-inch inner display and a 6.43-inch cover display. Both have a refresh rate that caps at 120Hz and are protected by HONOR’s NanoCrystal Shield and Super Armored glass protection.

For optics, there’s a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 64MP telephoto cameras at the rear. Meanwhile, both inner and outer displays house 20MP selfie shooters.

Details on the pricing and availability of the HONOR Magic V5 have yet to be unpacked. We expect to get more news on the foldable on launch day, which is happening as soon as next week.
