Upgraded Starlink Plans and Pricing in the Philippines

After using Starlink satellite internet for about 2 months now, we’ve been paying a regular monthly service fee of Php2,700. However, when the team went on a summer outing recently, we had to switch the the service plans for a roaming service so that we can use it anywhere we go for a trip.

Apparently, changing plans was quite easy and fast. Just fire open the Starlink app, go to Account, then Manage Subscription -> Change Service Plan.

You get these options:

Standard

Php 2,700 / month
Standard service for residential customers at one location.

Mobile – Regional

Php3,300 / month
Use Starlink at any location on land in your continent with best effort service. Pause and un-pause at any time. All services will be best effort and are not permitted for use on the ocean.

Please note: by switching to a Mobile plan, you may not be able to change back to Standard at your service address.

Mobile – Global

Php 12,200 / month

Use Starlink at any location on land across the globe with active service coverage. Pause and un-pause at any time. Service will be deprioritized behind Standard and Priority customers and can result in slower speeds during times of peak usage, and use is not permitted for use on the ocean. Metered Mobile Priority data, with high-speed, ocean access, can be purchased by the GB on this plan.

By switching to a mobile plan, you may not be able to change back to the Standard plan at your address.

Mobile – Priority 50GB

Php 15,394 / month

Use Starlink on the ocean or land across the globe with network priority and faster speeds. In motion use supported with approved hardware, see Starlink Specifications. After using Mobile Priority data, continue receiving unlimited Mobile data on land anywhere Starlink has service globally.

By switching to a mobile plan, you may not be able to change back to a fixed plan at your address. Use on the ocean or in motion is dependent on country authorization.

Somehow the mobile plans are not as appealing on paper, considering the price. And you can’t even revert back if you don’t want it. How was the experience once you used the mobile plan, though?
