Huawei MediaPad M5 goes official




Huawei has just unveiled its latest tablet, the MediaPad M5, with two variants: an 8.4-inch and 10.8-inch model, just like the current MediaPad M3 model.

Just like some of the previous MediaPad tablets that are based on a Kirin chipset, the MediaPad M5 is also packed a similar 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 960 processor. It will have three different configurations: 4GB RAM+32GB ROM,
4GB RAM+64GB ROM and 4GB RAM+128GB ROM with either WiFi or LTE support. For cameras it will have a 13MP rear camera with no LED flash, and an 8MP camera with fixed focus at the front. Both tablets will also have 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution.

Huawei MediaPad M5 will ship with Android 8.0 Oreo on board, which should make it even more appealing. Moreover, the tablet also features a fingerprint sensor, fast charge support and LTE Cat 4 support. Pricing starts at 349 € (approx. Php22k) for the 8.4-inch and 399 € (approx. Php25k) for the 10.8-inch model.

      I went to the Huawei store in SM. The store representative said they will have the 8.4 by next month. The 10.8 however will not be released here iin the PH because it is too expensive.

      Hi Sophia. Is this the one with Kirin 960 processor? I went to Huawei store in SM Manila and told me that the only available 8.4″ model was their Mediapad M5 lite only :(
