Infinix NOTE 50s 5G+ now official: features scented backplate

Infinix has officially launched the Note 50s 5G+ in India, featuring a unique scented back panel.

The said feature, namely the “Energizing Scent-Tech” is available in its Marine Drift Blue color variant. Using Microencapsulation Technology, the back panel of the phone releases a fragrance over time.

The scent has top notes of marine and lemon, with hints of lily of the valley and base notes of amber and vetiver. The scent’s intensity and duration will depend on usage and environmental factors, though Infinix hasn’t mentioned how long it’ll last.

Specs-wise, the smartphone features a 6.78-inch FHD+ 144Hz 3D curved AMOLED display and is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Ultimate chipset. It comes with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

For optics, the Note 50s 5G+ has a 64MP rear camera with a Sony IMX682 sensor, a secondary camera, and a 16MP front camera. It supports 4K video recording, Active Halo Lighting, and dual LED flash.

The Note 50s 5G+ is equipped with a 5500mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging. On the software side, the phone runs on XOS 15, based on Android 15 out of the box. Folax AI smart assistant is also included for weather updates, camera controls, and casual conversations.

Furthermore, Infinix has promised two years of OS updates and three years of security patches for this device.

Also notice the 5G+ moniker, it eseentially refers to mmWave connectivity, which is available only in select cities across India, typically in more developed urban areas.

This means that while it offers faster speeds and higher capacity, it comes with more limited coverage compared to standard 5G.
