OPPO Reno3, Reno3 Pro 5G announced
OPPO’s Vice President and President of Global Marketing Brian Shen has first teased us with a photo of OPPO’s new Reno3 Pro 5G back in late November. Now, OPPO China has officially announced its new Reno line up, the Reno3, and Reno3 Pro 5G.
While the complete specs and details of the OPPO Reno3 5G have not yet been released, OPPO’s preorder page reveals that it will sport Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 765G chipset, quad rear cameras, 5G support, and a 4,025mAh battery. It’s also thin and light at 7.7mm thick and 171g.
The renders also suggest that they’re ditching the sharkfin popup camera in exchange for a punch-hole design. The absence of rear and side-mounted fingerprint scanner tells us that the biometric lock would be in-display. The rear cameras have also been moved from the middle to the upper left section of the phone, unlike other phones on the Reno line. Design-wise, the OPPO Reno 3 Pro has a curved edge display and nearly bezel-less chin.

The OPPO Reno3 is said to come with either the Snapdragon 730G or Snapdragon 735, depending on whether 5G is enabled. It’s using a waterdrop notch instead of a punch-hole design for the front camera and doesn’t have the same curved edge display as the OPPO Reno3 Pro 5G.
OPPO China already has a registration page set up for the OPPO Reno3 and Reno3 Pro 5G. We’ll be updating the full specs, pricing, and availability once we learn more.
