Listen to article

PLDT has announced that it has completed its 8-digit Landline Number Migration.

The change in landline number comes as part of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC)’s memorandum where operators are instructed to expand the telephone number range from 7-digit to 8-digit format. In PLDT’s announcement, the company stated that the majority of its customers can now call and be called via their respective 8-digit numbers.

The telco has also acknowledged that some lines in specific areas may still run into issues regarding the numbers.  PLDT noted that it will be resolving issues as quickly as possible.

You have to add the (02) or area code to make calls to manila if you are from the provinces. When calling for areas outside your area code, always make sure to include the area code you’re calling for in the beginning of the number.
