realme has started teasing the Neo8, its upcoming mid-range smartphone in China and the direct successor to the Neo7 that launched in December 2024. The first official teaser reveals the phone in a striking Cyber Purple color, featuring a transparent RGB design and the return of the brand’s signature Awakening Halo lighting element.

According to realme CMO Chase Xu, the Awakening Halo system lights up the phone instantly, making it stand out, while the metal frame and transparent glass body aim to deliver a more premium in-hand feel.
Under the hood, the realme Neo8 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, using the same flagship-level architecture as the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. realme claims a benchmark score of up to 3.58 million.
Leaks suggest a 6.78-inch 1.5K 165Hz OLED display, 50MP periscope camera, IP69 rating, 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and a massive 8,000mAh battery. Stay tuned for further updates about its specs and availability.
