AMD releases three new Radeon Rx 6000 Series GPUs

AMD has just announced that they will be adding new graphics cards to its Radeon Rx 6000 Series namely, the 6950 XT, 6750 XT, and 6650 XT.

The refreshed lineup of AMD graphics cards is nothing new but rather refinements to AMD’s current lineup of graphics cards, the RX 6900 XT, 6700 XT, and 6600 XT. The performance of the newer lineup should be slightly improved with each model boasting slightly higher GPU clock speeds than its respective predecessor.

All are based on AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture like its recent predecessors with the most powerful of the bunch, the 6950 XT is aimed at being able to produce high frame rates while gaming in 4K. It carries 16 GB of GDDR6 memory and will now be hailed as their most powerful flagship graphics card that is said to compete directly with NVIDIA’s RTX 3090.

While those wanting to game at 1440p, AMD is putting out the RX 6750 XT in promising to deliver just that. With 12GB of GDDR6 memory, AMD is looking to have this graphics card with the likes of NVIDIA’s RTX 3070. But if you’re quite strapped for cash but still want to game in 1080p, then AMD offers the RX 6650 XT that comes with 8GB of GDDR6 memory and is meant to be on par with NVIDIA’s RTX 3060.

The recommended pricing by AMD for their new graphics cards is $399 for the RX 6650 XT, $549 for the RX 6750 XT, and $1099 for the RX 6950 XT. AMD plans to sell through their own webstore but other third-party models will be available from different brand partners such as Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte.
