Along with the ZTE Skate that was launched yesterday, MSI-ECS will also be carrying the ZTE Light Tab 2. Though still running an outdated Android Gingerbread, the Light Tab 2 comes with 3G function.
Last time we saw the ZTE Light Tab 2 was in Singapore back in June 2011 during CommunicAsia although that one was still using a 1GHz processor.
ZTE Light Tab 2 specs:
7.0-inch LCD @ 1024×600 pixels, 170ppi
1.4 GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon
Adreno 205
512 MB RAM
4GB ROM
up to 32GB via microSD card (4GB pre-installed)
3MP rear camera
VGA front-facing camera
HSDPA 14.4Mbps, HSUPA 7.2Mbps
Dolby Mobile Sound Technology
GPS w/ aGPS support
FM radio tuner
Li-Ion 3400mAh battery
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
The Light Tab 2 will retail for Php15,490USD 264INR 22,377EUR 251CNY 1,922 and should be available in stores soon. However, it might have a hard time selling at that price point since the recently released Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is also selling for Php16,990USD 290INR 24,544EUR 276CNY 2,108.

I am confused, why does zte and huawei still sells products that will always have a hard time competing on the market with respect to pricing…?
Mr. Curious says:
another fail product from zte. I really wonder why do they keep on selling products with its price not suited for its specs. d-_-“b
you’re just Php 3k away from iPad 2 with that price tag and you’ll get an enormous leap or difference from the specs.
Carl says:
@thejorlanb because they never fail the market in the first place. Lolololololol. Why do you guys comment on such things when you hav n knowledge at all about what is happening in themrket? Huawei? Really? the largest China-based and second world largest networking and telecommunications equipment supplier and the second-largest supplier of mobile telecommunications infrastructure equipment in the world. Zte? The worlds forth largest phone manufacturer by sales? Why are there so many ignorant people pesterin theinternet with things that cameout of their hollow heads? So stupid. Really? And you would rather praise manufacturer like RIM(blackberry) and Nokia who are on te brink of being bankrupt? I guess so because youre just idiots! Lololol

Maybe they don’t know that Nexus 7 is coming. I think this will hardly sell even at $100.
JmBalicano says:
how the heck is this still in Gingerbread?
Edsar says:

Meron na ko nito last year pa! at only 14k, plus monthly 10hrs free internet from smart. I even already sold it sa tipidcp last January. This is the tablet offered by smartbro. Dami nagkalat nito sa Sulit at Tipidcp.
My only comment with this unit is it is darn too slow! hirap mag multi-task and open ng apps. better spend your 15k on other tablets.
