Android 7.0 Nougat arrives for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 in PH

Samsung is currently rolling out the Android 7.0 Nougat update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and it looks like users in the Philippines are starting to receive it.

The first signs of the Nougat rollout for the Galaxy Note 5 started in Turkey with the update sized at 1.3GB. The screenshot sent to us by our reader for the Nougat update he received on his device has about the same file size.

If you haven’t received a notification yet on your Galaxy Note 5, you can check manually inside Settings. If you have received it and already upgraded, let us know in the comments below.

Update after using Note 5(N9208) with Android 7.0.

Overall UX/UI experience 9/10
Performance/Maintenance (Memory Management, Power Saving Mode, Resolution Scaling) 8/10
Features 9/10
Signal Reception(still the same since Android 5.1) 6/10

So far so good on my end. I like the feature it’s like having an S8 with Pen :D LOL well without bixby and the infinity display and environmental proofing and things like that. Parang na future proof tuloy si Note 5 in the absence of Note 7. Sana laging ganito si Samsung up to date ang software like Apple para hnd madali ma phase out ang mga phones nila.

Yhru wifi or thru data nyo po na download? Since last month pa that I had a notification for the update pero hesistant ako kasi baka mag rash sya or magkaroon ng problems like what happened sa first note 5 ko when it was upgraded to marshmallow

Update ko lang po kayo..i already install the nougat 7.0 on my note 5..and im so happy that it works perfectly without an issue..

Hello Boying, N9208 ba gamit mo? Anong country ang nougat na nainstall mo? I downloaded Philippines, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh pero lahat nagfail sa odin gamit both windows at mac. Am getting frustrated na sa kaaantay. Thanks.

Mine is N9208 ..i received the update last week..i downloaded it but still i never install it yet..may nabasa kce ako sa ibang site nung nag update sila madaming naging issue sa note 5 nila..may nag hahang nadaw at nag rerestart ng automatic..guys feedback naman sa mga naka update na kung may na experience kayo na ganyan issue..para i can decide kung mag update or stick nalang me sa marshmallow..tnx guys

Thanks James. Mine is N9208 (Duos) too but still haven’t received the OTA update. I tried installing those available at sammobile, including those released in India and Myanmar, but all failed through Odin. Really do not know what is wrong. I had N920C before and I never had any problem specially when I ported Note 7 rom.

Hi James… is your Note 5 n920C or n9208? been checking nougat update for my duos since it was rolled out earlier this week but to no avail. i even downloaded it via sammobile but i am having errors flashing it through Odin. Maybe those in Manila area would get their first before us here in Baguio City and the rest. Thanks.
