Acer has finally introduced its Macbook Air counterpart with the Acer Aspire S3 ultrabook -- a 1.3cm super-thin laptop. The Timeline 1801TZ can be readily compared to the netbook version, Acer Aspire One AO751, which we reviewed here earlier. The Acer Timeline 1810TZ is not officially available in the Philippines yet and the review unit we had was bought from Hong Kong for $750 (Php35,000). According to Nielsen-GfK data covering the first five months of 2026, Acer held a 37% market share in the consumer laptop segment and a 34.5% share in gaming laptops. Beyond laptops, Acer highlighted initiatives such as Acer Day, the Asia Pacific Predator League and the Acer Edu Summit. Acer has expanded its AI PC lineup at COMPUTEX 2026 with the introduction of the new Swift Air 14 and Swift Spin 14 AI laptops, both powered by Intel’s latest processors.
