Acer has extended its lead as the Philippines' top laptop brand. According to Nielsen-GfK data covering the first five months of 2026, Acer held a 37% market share in the consumer laptop segment and a 34.5% share in gaming laptops. "These achievements are deeply meaningful to us as we celebrate Acer’s 50th anniversary," said Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines. "They reflect our strong commitment to our mission of breaking barriers between people and technology, one that has guided our innovations for five decades." Beyond laptops, Acer highlighted initiatives such as Acer Day, the Asia Pacific Predator League and the Acer Edu Summit. Acer Academy has collaborated with De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde (DLS-CSB) in the aim of supporting Deaf education in the Philippines through the application of technology in adaptive education. Included in this partnership, Acer Academy has donated five Acer TravelMate laptops to DLS-CSB. Sue Ong-Lim, Managing Director of Acer Philippines, explained that this is in line with Acer's strong belief in education and inclusion, and that currently, Acer Academy has over 400 members across the Philippines. The Acer Timeline notebook boasts of up to 8 hours battery life and sports a nice slim design (slimmer than most netbooks).
