Blog search engine Technorati has just launched a blog ad network. Technorati Media (TM) will be serving huge flash and video ads across the network following the CPM model: Every website can offer advertising, but how many can offer influence? Early advertisers on the ad network include Honda, Acura, Toyota, t-mobile, Adobe, HP, Sandisk, MSFT, Verizon, Sun, Sony, Visa, Nike, Scion, Chevrolet, Paramount, Universal Pictures, 20th Century Fox and Best Buy. An email will be sent to you if you qualify for the network. The operators have jointly submitted a PHP 30.4 billion proposal to the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) to build a new domestic subsea fiber-optic cable network, according to a report citing DICT Secretary Henry Rhoel R. On top of boosting overall national bandwidth capacity, the network will link directly into existing international landing stations to provide better traffic routing and redundancy for both local and overseas data. If approved, the subsea network will run alongside and complement the government’s ongoing National Fiber Backbone project, with phases four and five of the terrestrial rollout slated for completion before the end of the year. Its proactive readiness strategy is anchored in strengthening the network, preparing field support, and helping customers know where to turn during disruptions.
