Strong demand for parts used in AI data centers has placed more pressure on memory and semiconductor supplies. NVIDIA and Intel have announced a partnership focused on AI, data centers, and relative consumer products. The agreement sees Intel producing chips that are optimized for NVIDIA’s NVLink technology for faster data transfers. Once Intel has developed the custom data center CPUs, NVIDIA will have servers capable of running complex AI models and cloud services. Once operational, it will deliver 50MW to the grid serving Google’s Tennessee and Alabama data centers. PLDT is in talks with Japan’s Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) to sell up to 49% of their data center business. In addition, the company needs the funding for new and ongoing data center projects. It currently owns and operates 11 data centers through its subsidiary ePLDT.
