Alongside the Nothing Phone (4b), the company also introduced the Nothing Ear (3a).

It gets new 12mm dynamic drivers, which Nothing claims to deliver deeper bass and more detail. The company says it has bass frequencies of up to 5dB stronger than the previous model.

The earbuds carry Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification and support LDAC, enabling high-quality audio transmission up to 24-bit/96kHz. They also offer up to 45dB of Wideband Active Noise Cancellation, along with a Transparency Mode.

Battery life sits at up to 42 hours of total playback with the charging case, and up to 10 hours on the earbuds alone with ANC turned off. With ANC enabled, users get up to 25 hours of total playback.

Interestingly, Nothing’s Ear (3a) comes equipped with 32MB of built-in storage. This allows users to capture audio moments through a feature called “Audio Snapshot”.

Users can instantly clip whatever media they’re listening to by simply pinching both earbuds. The earbuds also let users record calls and meetings directly. These recordings automatically sync to the Nothing X app, where users can replay, edit, share, or transcribe them.

Price and availability

The Nothing Ear (3a) is currently up for pre-order until August 14, 2026. Pre-ordering with the Phone (4b) gets buyers Php2,500 off, along with a free Nothing coin purse, keychain, and bottle opener.
