Amazon Web Services (AWS) recently announced that it will build local data centers in the Asia-Pacific (APAC), including the Philippines. AWS Local Zones are a type of infrastructure deployment that places compute, storage, database, and other select Amazon services close to large population and industry centers. AWS Outposts is a fully managed service that extends AWS infrastructure, AWS services, APIs, and tools to virtually any customer datacenter, co-location space, or on-premises facility for a truly consistent hybrid experience. NVIDIA and Intel have announced a partnership focused on AI, data centers, and relative consumer products. Once Intel has developed the custom data center CPUs, NVIDIA will have servers capable of running complex AI models and cloud services. Once operational, it will deliver 50MW to the grid serving Google’s Tennessee and Alabama data centers.
