Well, Raon Digital is banking on the AMD Turion 64 X2 (dual core) to get its 7-inch Everun Note out the door this September. Prolly the first-ever AMD-based netbook to go out in the market. The Everun Note is a 7-inch (1024x600) UMPC and will run on a 1.2GHz dual core AMD Turion 64 x2, 1GB RAM, 12GB SSD or 60GB HDD, SD card slot, bluetooth and Wifi 802.11 b/g. The AMD Turion 64 X2 (intended to be positioned against the Intel Core Duo) might still be a power guzzler (around 31-35 watts TDP) so it's only rated at 2.5 hours of battery life. Been using the Phenom x4 9950 CPU sent to me by AMD for over a month now and I have been doing some simple benchmarks with it. The Phenom X4 9950 is the latest and fastest among AMD's quad core series.
