At WWDC 2026, the company confirmed it partnered with Google, using the technologies behind Gemini, to create the next generation of Apple Foundation Models. Apple is planning to integrate Google's Gemini to Apple Intelligence soon. Spotted in Apple's iOS 18.4 beta, it looks like the company is planning on integrating Google's Gemini to their system. There is new information that points toward a likely partnership with Google to build its voice assistant off a version of Gemini. Rather than relying strictly on its own hardware, Apple is looking to rely on Google's Gemini AI model running on NVIDIA’s latest Blackwell B200 data center graphics chips. Originally, rumors suggested Apple might use Google's own custom Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) for these cloud tasks, but the decision has officially flipped to NVIDIA's high-speed Blackwell architecture to ensure maximum performance and lower processing latency. End-to-end encrypted Apple and Google RCS messaging is rolling out in beta after an effort by Apple and Google to improve secure texting.
