Apple’s iOS 18.1 that rolled out last week has included the first set of Apple Intelligence features such as new writing and photo editing tools, and updated Siri among others. Now, for iOS 18.2, Apple is aiming to bring over more AI-powered features in early December. Gurman says that the aforementioned iOS 18.2 update will likely come in the first week of December. The next big phase of Apple Intelligence rollout is slated for April 2025 with iOS 18.4. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji.
