#Apple M5 benchmarks

Apple today officially unveiled the M5 chip which will power the refreshed 14-inch Macbook Pro, Apple Vision Pro and the iPad Pro. Built using 3rd generation 3nm technology, the Apple M5 comes with a new 10-core GPU architecture with a Neural Accelerator in each core which now has over 4x the peak GPU compute performance compared to M4. Devices runing on the new Apple M5 will be released by October 22. Apple has revealed that the iPhone 12 and 12 mini now come in the color Purple. As per Apple, the new finish complements the beautiful flat-edge design of the iPhone 12. Moreover, the company also revealed that both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini in Purple ship with the latest iOS 14.5, which features the ability to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch while wearing a face mask, an enhanced Apple Podcasts app with a redesigned show and episode pages, and a Search tab, as well as new emoji. Additionally, Apple revealed that Siri no longer has a default voice and will include more voice options in English. Apple announced the official date for its upcoming Apple Event.
