In addition to the four new 5th Generation mobile processors, Intel also announced five new desktop SKUs under the Broadwell which includes two Core i7 chips and three Core i5 processors. The chipmaker did, however, retains the use of ‘R’ nomenclature for the new soldered processors under the Broadwell lineup. All of the new desktop processors that Intel launched are based on the chipmaker’s 14nm process. These new 5th Generation desktop SKUs are expected to be released in the market within a month or two. ASUS has announced the availability of the M32 Desktop PC which sports a 4th gen Intel Core processor bundled with an 18.5-inch ASUS LCD monitor for just Php29k. It’s an integrated SoC combining a 20-core Arm CPU, Blackwell RTX GPU, and up to 128 GB of unified LPDDR5X memory, designed for AI-heavy laptops and desktops running Windows on Arm. Co-developed with MediaTek, the CPU uses a performance/efficiency core mix, while the GPU features 6,144 CUDA cores, with performance comparable to midrange desktop GPUs but only uses around 45–80W laptop power rating.
