The Department of Transportation (DOTr) will begin the implementation of a cashless transaction system using beep cards on public utility buses (PUBs) of the EDSA Busway System. In line with this new policy, LTFRB encourages commuters to purchase and load their own beep cards to avoid inconveniences upon the implementation of the automated fare collection system. “We want to ensure that commuters along EDSA will have a safer and comfortable travel, while at the same time providing them a more seamless and efficient system of public transport,” said Pastor. A joint project of the DOTr, LTFRB, and MMDA,  the EDSA Busway transport commuters from Monumento to PITX and vice versa, through a dedicated median bus lane which lowers travel time to just less than an hour. The camera is co-engineered with Leica and features a dual-camera system. The system combines AI computing hardware, software, sensors, safety applications and inspection tools into a unified safety architecture for robotics and physical AI systems.
