In partnership with PayMaya, Caltex now offers cashless payment options for motorists who will buy fuel, lubricants, and other products and services in select Caltex stations nationwide. Pasig Mega Market now has satellite-powered internet to support cashless payments under the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. The rollout is part of the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program, a joint effort of BSP and DICT to promote the use of QR Ph, the country’s standard system for cashless payments. foodpanda Philippines has introduced QRPH payments for cash-on-delivery orders. Payments can be completed using QRPH-supported banking and e-wallet apps, including GCash and Maya. BSP has been promoting increased use of digital payments as part of its push toward a cash-lite economy. Commuters using the EDSA Busway can now pay their fares using GCash, as cashless payments have officially been rolled out across selected busway units. The setup also reduces cash handling and supports the broader push for standardized digital payments in public transportation.
