With Deep Research now powered by GPT-5.2, it brings expanded controls and richer outputs to the in-chat research tool. First introduced last year, Deep research is designed to handle complex, multi-step internet research directly within ChatGPT. On the output side, Deep research can now generate structured reports, tables, charts, and visual data summaries.
