OPPO on Tuesday took to Twitter their announcement of globally launching Android 13-based ColorOS 13 on August 18th, 2022 via livestream on its official YouTube channel and social media pages. OPPO says ColorOS 13 adopts the underlying safety and privacy features of Android 13, and will also provide personalization similar to Google 'Material You' UI. "ColorOS 13 includes a range of new smart features developed by OPPO that are tailored to deliver the best experience with large displays, provide seamless interconnectivity between multiple devices, and enhance productivity and efficiency," OPPO said in a press release. OPPO's sister brand, OnePlus has already unveiled OxygenOS 13 earlier this month, which somehow manifested the look and feel of ColorOS itself. Previously, OnePlus CEO announced that they were ditching 'unified OS' in pushing through its much-recognized OxygenOS, but it will share the same codebase with ColorOS.
