According to GoTyme, its Visa debit card posted a 153 percent surge in transaction volume in 2024, and the bank now has over 6.5 million users with more than PHP 37 billion in deposits. In the third quarter of 2020, tonik will launch a full range of banking services including savings account with a debit card, savings and term deposit accounts with interest rates, as well as a range of consumer loans. The Mastercard debit cards, which allow customers to transact and withdraw cash from Mastercard ATMs and merchants, will be available to customers at the end of the year. Additional tonik services such as loans, credit cards, and fund transfer categories will be made available in 2021. UNO Digital Bank has just announced its partnership with Mastercard to issue digital and physical Debit Mastercard cards in the Philippines. The virtual cards will make it easy for customers to transact online, and the physical card can be used at points of sale at retail outlets or any Mastercard, Maestro, or Cirrus ATMs worldwide. UNO Digital Bank’s physical Debit Mastercard will have security features that are designed to mitigate fraud and empower cardholders to prevent the misuse of their card. The bank will announce the debit card attributes when it launches later this year.
