#DICT hacked

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reported that 19 government websites were hacked. DICT Secretary Henry Aguda listed four national agencies that were affected by the site breaches. This included the Anti-Red Tape Authority, Bureau of Customs, DICT, and the Department of Economy, Planning and Development. Given the information, the DICT assured users that their information in eGov PH is encrypted and protected under the Data Privacy Act of 2012. The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) reported a significant decline in courier-related complaints, with cases dropping by nearly 88% following the rollout of its Oplan Bantay Padala initiative. According to DICT data, complaints fell from 1,210 in January to just 151 as of June 23, 2026. On June 23, the DICT also launched Phase 2 of the PEMEDES Licensing Portal, which brings enhanced digital identity verification, automation, and expanded regulatory monitoring.
