The upcoming chip is expected to be built on TSMC's 4nm N4P process node — the same fabrication tech used in 2023 flagships like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9300. MediaTek is giving its late-2022 Dimensity 8200 chipset a refresh with the ‘new’ Dimensity 8250. So, what's the point of the Dimensity 8250? Regardless, the Dimensity 8250 still looking like a solid mid-range contender. The news comes just in time for the OPPO Reno12 debut scheduled for next week, on May 23rd — which is expected to boast the Dimensity 8250 chipset. The chipset that can handle all those megapixels is the Dimensity 1080 combined with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. Under the hood is a Dimensity 7200, complemented with a spacious RAM at 12GB, not to mention an extended memory of 8GB, making it 20GB RAM in total. MediaTek has launched its all-new Dimensity 8200 chipset, catered towards mid-range-to-premium 5G-enabled smartphones.
