DITO Telecommunity has announced that it will commercially launch on March 8 starting in Mindanao. In a report by ABS-CBN, DITO's first phase of the launch will be in Davao and Cebu which is a "sentimental" decision to honor the company's origin. DITO is formerly known as Mindanao Islamic Telephone Company, Inc. DITO's services will initially reach 17 cities and municipalities with 10 to 20 points of sale, as well as online, in Mindanao and Visayas. DITO recently passed its commitments on its first year of technical audit.
