DITO Telecommunity has announced that it has passed the technical audit for its commitments with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) for National Population Coverage and Minimum Average Broadband Speed for its second year. According to NTC's independent auditor, DITO Telecommunity has a calculated National Population Coverage of 52.75%. It also has a Minimum Average Broadband Speeds of 89.13 Mbps and 853.96 Mbps for all 4G and 5G sites, respectively. As part of the issuance of its Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity in July 2019, DITO Telecommunity committed to deliver National Population Coverage of 51.01% and Minimum Average Broadband Speed of 55 Mbps in the second year of its commitment period. The audit revealed DITO passed both tests with an population coverage of 86.3%, a 92Mbps minimum average 4G speed and 597Mbps minimum average 5G mobile internet speed. The results also showed improvements over the performance of DITO on its first year of operations in 2021 -- The 1st audit back January 7, 2021, DITO has an average speed of 507.5 Mbps for 5G and 85.9 Mbps for 4G.
