The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) called for a closed-door discussion with DITO Telecom to tackle the status of the telco's roll-out program. The DICT is looking into ensuring that DITO Telecomm will be able to deliver its promised 55mbps internet speed and the more than 80-percent coverage of the population within the mandated five-year period. DITO once again won the Rated #1 Mobile Network in the Philippines, making it the first telco in the country to achieve back-to-back wins for this category. In 2023, DITO also won the Rated # 1 Mobile Network in the Philippines and celebrated its win early this year by launching “DITO SA PUSO KO” featuring Philippines’ power couple Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera. DITO Telecommunity is expanding its services to home broadband with the launch of the DITO Home Prepaid Starter Kit.  DITO home starter kit In a statement released, DITO revealed its entry into the home internet space through an affordable plug-and-play solution. The telecom DITO Telecommunity has secured a USD 3.9-billion or PHP 2.21-billion loan and 15-year finance facility with a group of international banks. According to DITO CME, they have stated that this agreement may be "one of the largest long-term debt arranged and syndicated by a group of multinational banks for a Philippine corporation." Portions of the fund would go to repaying another loan and support to DITO's network expansion to improve the telecom's speed in postpaid and 5G.
